I am delighted to write these lines for the first ever prospectus of the newly established Iqra National University in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and congratulate its management and the faculty members for their determination, spirit and enthusiasm in joining the efforts for promotion of higher education in the country in general and in this province in particular.

The progress and development of a nation always depends on higher education which offers solutions to emerging problems, produces leaders for all sectors of society, enables better utilization of available resources and ensures a stable and secure future for the country. With the Grace of Almighty Allah despite adverse circumstances a positive and competitive environment exists amongst higher educational institutions both in the public & private sectors in the province. The policy of granting charters to private universities, introduced for promoting quality education has been one of the main drivers of this positive change.

In my capacity as Patron of the private sector universities, it is my desire to see them flourishing. I wish many successes and high laurels for Iqra National University (INU) and a prosperous future for its students.
