In
pursuance of the mission to deliver a
better education, Iqra offers Bachelor
of Engineering in Computer Information
Systems B.E. (CIS) and Bachelor of
Engineering in Electronics B.E. (E)
programmes. These degree programmes are
for aspiring Engineering and Technology
professionals, providing them with
excellent career prospects both in the
development and application of computer
systems, with particular emphasis
towards the hardware aspects including
communications technology. Iqra
University aims to prepare graduates who
will be qualified to pursue careers with
manufacturers, software houses, and
computer end-users as Hardware, Software
and Application Professionals or
Consultants. The Bachelor of Engineering
(B.E.) programmes are full-time
four-year degree programmes involving
the study and design of computer
systems, electronics and associated
system software. It covers the knowledge
and techniques concerned with the design
and explanation of electronics and
computer technology in the development
of information processing systems. The
courses of these programmes emphasize
the architecture of hardware and
software surroundings, converting the
computer from a box of electronics into
a sophisticated information-processing
tool. The programmes focus on the ways in
which hardware and software are
constructed and provides and insight
into the purpose of each of the major
components of a large computing systems.
The special objectives of the programme
are:
-
To
develop a fundamental understanding of
the electronic principles, computer
architecture, software and data
communication requirements of
relevance to emerging technologies.
-
To
develop in-depth skills required for
design, implementation and performance
analysis of cost-effective computing
systems and data networks.
-
To
integrate acquired skills and
knowledge through the final year
project.
