Quality
of output, remains the central concern
at AMI Peshawar Campus. Quality outputs
is however not possible without quality
inputs, which includes highly qualified
and motivated faculty and the supporting
facilities. Hence our clear stress
is always on well-qualified faculty
and state-of-the art facilities on
our campus. The Peshawar Campus will
be celebrating its first year in existence.
As I look back to the last ten months
when this campus became operational,
I am move to bow my head before the
almighty and raise my hands in thanksgiving.
Allah has been very kind in crowning
our efforts with success and helping
us to achieve commendable progress.
Our first batch has moved to the third
term, and we have nearly 600 students
on rolls. With our system of invigoration,
strict supervision of the examination
centers, and standards in making papers,
results in the term examinations are
a sound measure of performance. This
performance would not have been possible
without sound coaching by a highly
qualified and motivated faculty. Out
of some 32 faculty members 14 have
PhDs and another 10 are master’s degree
holder from American and European
Universities. Our program is futuristic,
comprising as it does learning and
relearning skills, grasping the emerging
disciplines in the filed of Information
Technology and Management. While developments
in the field of Information Technology
have staggered everyone’s imagination,
the scope of the latter has also recorded
quantum jumps from a single firm management
to macro-management jobs of such dimensions
as managing the over 2 trillion US$
international debt, and so on. How
do we here plan to make our adjustments
with such a fast moving and changing
world? By remaining ever vigilant
for making changes in the old disciplines,
and incorporating newly emerging disciplines
by keenly watching the evolving need
patterns of skills and skill requirements,
and by constantly building our own
capacity and equipment. Our future
plans also eye establishing linkages
with the world of skills and learning
abroad, and entering into collaborative
arrangements with our neighbors to
the north. A clearly articulated mission
and a strong desire to serve and to
translate that mission into tangible
forms will remain our driving passion.
